Squids From Space has the potential to be a solid and fun team-based game. Despite a massive loss of graphical fidelity on lowest quality, it runs like a dream. It's basically a capture-the-flag game, as a top down shooter instead of an FPS/TPS, and has some interesting mechanics and weapons.

There's just one huge fatal flaw right now that prevents this from being a unanimous recommendation. That is, the absolute lack of ANY timer or forced game-ending condition. If you're saddled with inept teammates (look, a high level does not necessarily equate to high skill, as evidenced in the two matches I play in this video), games can drag on forever and ever and ever and...you get the point.

Luckily, the game is in Early Access so I can't fault it that much, but please. Force matches to end at a point, and then I'll be able to recommend this.

Oh, and for reference, he could only withstand another hour after I quit the match, before himself quitting out of boredom. The score? Still 2-2.
