SRB2 2023 OLDC R1 (Motobug) | (Finale) ~ Scrap Brain & Final?
3Last but not least, we have Scrap Brain and Final, being based off of their respective counterparts in Sonic 1. Scrap Brain even has the "Labyrinth Zone Act 4" section (as if that didn't piss people off the first time around). I switched to Motobug here because the crushers later in the level go way too fast for even no-spins to get through.
As for Final, the boss itself is an interesting take on the original. Basically, you're on a conveyor belt while Robotnik shoots a bunch of projectiles at you from the other side. At the halfway point, the walls on the sides will lower and you'll now have to be mindful of the insta-kill lava replacing it. Either way, it won't matter since Motobug can hilariously make short work of him if you use the Drop Dash after getting pushed back each time.
All-in-all, this was a wonderful OLDC! I didn't participate this time around, but I'm still working on levels of my own for a pack. Maybe if I'm in the mood for it, I'll submit one of the completed ones to the next round. Otherwise, I shall catch you on the flip!
