0If you thought that the Deton jumpscares in this pack were bad enough, well now they made a fucking boss out it, and it's kind of a hard fight as Ember. You see, it'll start off by summoning these minions that not only have an orbiting spike around them, but will also occasionally carpet bomb you in which they're invulnerable while they do it. After destroying all of the minions, you then have to go to these switches that will make the Deton vulnerable to attack. The worse part about it all, is that failing to do this in a timely manner means instant death. And once the Deton takes damage, he'll summon a regular Deton that spawns right above you, so it'll be hard to outrun it. I imagine that it's probably easier as a character that can jump in their ball form, but that's one of the few luxuries Ember *doesn't* have.
Thankfully, Decrepit Plant is *very* generous with lives in case you died a lot to the Cyber Deton. Mr. Triangle was a bit of a surprise to experience since it plays a lot like Mega Man. Hell, just give the shooty guys shields, and they practically become Sniper Joes. You can also shoot upwards like with how Bass is whenever he's playable. Unlike Bass however, you can still move while shooting upwards, but you can only shoot directly up. You'll definitely need to know this for the boss who likes to hang out in the air and shoot flames at you. In its pinch phase, it'll stay in the middle while having flames orbiting around it. The orbiting flames will also spread out as well as reverse their direction, so you'll probably want to keep jumping if you want to get in a lot of damage. Finally, while Robotnik's Fortress and Icy Hot Cave were nothing too special, I do enjoy the music choices for them!
