S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - Heart of Chornobyl #082: The Paddleboat Launch
1I had been to the Pol Depot several times but not any farther north of it to the river. On the PDA Map, there was a small building at the river's edge with strange "H" shaped items next to it. I went to Pol Dept and then out the northern walls to this building, that I could not get inside. I discovered it was a Paddleboat Launch, but I did not find any loot or anything more of interest. I could see across the river to the north, some compound with some helicopters. I noticed on my PDA Map, a question mark now appeared at this new location, as if I got close enough for my PDA Map to target it.
I went back to the Pol Depot and found a couple of ladders going to two different roofs. I moved in closer and found some Bandits to engage. I guess the gunfire alerted a nearby Ward patrol as they were soon below me poking around. I got down to do some looting and was with them briefly, when suddenly a Bloodsucker attacked. I jumped up on some pipes out of reach and tried to help but the Bloodsucker moved too fast, and one by one I watched all three Ward die.
When the Bloodsucker focused on me, all I could see was the shimmer and I switched to my shotgun. After a brief dance with it I finally killed it, and then I looted the Ward and the rest of the Bandits. Now with a large load of loot, I exited out the eastern wall and trudged up the hill towards the radio shack. I had over 71kg, to get back to Zalissya.
Game note: You can see, me getting close enough to the location on the other side of the river, enabled the question mark to appear.
