I left the Noontide Trader's base and went back to the Cordon Outer Checkpoint. This time there were I.P.S.F. soldiers waiting there with the Duty. I ran upstairs in the back and closed the door and waited with my shotgun. Sure enough an I.P.S.F. soldier came up to get me, that I blasted with my shotgun. I waited and a second one soon followed. My HUD stayed red letting me know there were more outside. I waited briefly and then went out the front window. I found the other two I.P.S.F. soldiers across the road, hiding behind tires and an oil drum. I looted all four of them and I found a Loner they had killed.
I gathered the loot and decided to push through to Zalissya. I approached the Eastern Checkpoint and took out four more I.P.S.F. soldiers and then looted all of them, giving me a full load to take to town. I passed through the Lesser Zone without incident and dropped off all the weapons at Hamster's shop. After that I went south and grabbed an artifact I had never seen before, at the Sphere Communications Hub and then another artifact at the magnetic Cave. Returning to Zalissya, I took the Guide to Yaniv Station.
