24One could argue ad infinitum about the physical, philosophical, and physiological consequences of the choice to join C-Consciousness. I think, however, that the results of that choice are plain to see.
Ask yourself this: What changed?
Clouds still hang low, dark, and ominous on the horizon, the plant life still clings desperately to the chance to make it just another day, and one could surmise from Doc's sparse few words that none have heard any news from the center. All is quiet. All is still. All is just as it was. And that, I think, is all I need to know.
