In this video I'm taking a look at the 4 new scopes added with the alpha 3.6 patch. These scopes are the first implementation of the weapon attachments system. This system has been spoken about since at least June of 2018, and while the underlying code responsible for the backend of the system existed, the actual assets were not tied into the game yet. Thus, we are still waiting for more to be created, including stocks, barrels, grips, grenade launchers, etc.
I'm not overly impressed with these additions. They could definitely use some more polish, diversity, detail, and divisive design language. I don't even know what company manufactured these attachments, however, following Star Citizen gets you used to the idea of "tier 0". So we will see how they flesh out this system in the coming updates.
