for Rena's side it's all automatic so you don't control Claude or Dias but Claude could still lose he needs to make it to the fight with Dias to get the deadly edge in fact it's harder on Claude's side because you have to control him directly.

As for choosing which sponsor it's more important on Claude's side but pick on that has equipment you need because if you make it Dias then you get all of the equipment you used during the tournament.

You can't beat Dias it's unwinnable so don't waste your time just make it to him that's all you need to do.

To get the deadly edge make sure Claude makes it to Dias then go back to gamgee's to get the deadly edge DON'T leave Lacour until you get that deadly edge otherwise you will miss out on it forever.

So why get the deadly edge well it can be customized into the best weapon in the main game for Claude but don't even bother you need 2 Mythril and customization on Claude at level 7 even if I did have that now I still wouldn't do it because it would break the game so for now don't touch the edge at all if you don't want to risk screwing up.

PS:Next time we do a few optional things like getting anew party member note that if you have Ashton then you can't get the party member I'm talking about and you need to do this BEFORE going to linga if you go to linga then you can't get the kick ass babe with the gun LOL!
