I'm having a quick look at new Battlefront 2 Open Beta which is free for everyone since today. I'm not a big multiplayer guy but I was tempted to check out the space battles in this new BF version.

I loved LucasArts Tie Fighter released back in 1994 and I have to say new Battlefront 2 space battles are quite fun. You have much more control over your craft compared to Battlefront 2015 and the original Battlefront 2 from 2005. There are no magic "do a split-S" keys, all the moves are yours to perform. The graphics are gorgeus as are the sound effects. I would love to see the original Tie Fighter remade with this new tech.

I'm looking forward to the single player campaign though. It may be interesting to once more stand on the dark side (as in Tie Fighter) I just hope there will be no switching sides and becomming one of the resistance scums. Long live the Emperor!
