So this map is a mess. Always has been always will. Aside from your usual strategy of trying to get the middle command post there really isn't much you can do to put yourself ahead of the enemy. There is a secret path towards the bottom half of the map (if you're playing as the Rebels) and you can sneak up on them and claim their command post. But if you station yourself in the middle and think that you'll be able to give yourself an edge there...well you better rethink your strategy...
