Star Wars: Dark Forces - [Episode 13] - Fueling Depot
Now that we have the location of the Arc Hammer, the deployment ship of the Dark Troopers, in hand, our next objective is to get onto it, and that requires a bit of ship hopping.
The first port of call is the Fuel Depot, where Kyle can jump over from his ship to a freighter.

[Description]
Have you ever played DOOM and thought to yourself, "Man, I'd kill for this to be a Star Wars game!" or something? Well Dark Forces grants that wish and then some! Taking place in the expanded universe (before it got heavily nuked by Disney) we play as Kyle Katarn, an ex-Imperial Officer-turned-Rebel Mercenary who aids the Alliance on quite a few operations, included the most noted: stealing of the Death Star plans.
Have I played this before? Kinda. I only really touched the shareware/demo version roughly 17 years ago. It was great but until digital sales of classic games picked up I wasn't really able to grab ahold of it for the longest time; same with DOOM and other Retro FPS games. The demo really only included the first 2 levels, if memory serves, and even then I've not found all the secrets.
So let's just say this playthrough is totally blind past the 2nd level.
I'm not a pro at these games but damn I have fun with them. I hope you'll join me for the ride.

[Notes/Extra Information]
This playthough is the first to really have my augmented microphone settings + Nvidia Broadcast. I'm still getting used to the settings so expect some changes as we progress through the game; not crazy amounts, just small tweaks here and there.
Feedback is always appreciated!
The black borders are unavoidable, sadly; taking them out in editing makes the whole thing look stretched and awful.
This version of Dark Forces is the GoG one, combined with a handy bit of software called "DeHacker." I know it sounds totally ominous and shady, but it's the only tool I've found that includes a very much needed "Mouse Look" which makes the game a LOT friendlier to play, plus I do think it lets you appreciate the structure and environments Dark Forces gives.
There is actually a pretty detailed guide located on Steam: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2311190593
The guide pretty much goes over all the details of DeHacker and all you need to know on it's usage!
A big thank you to Karjala for showing me this guide!
Making thumbnails for this is pain, even though DOS Kyle looks like a total Chad. I really hate using standard artwork for thumbnails but in this case it's easier. I will still keep at it. Check my Twitter for the odd looksie on how that is going.

[Purchase]
You can buy Star Wars: Dark Forces on both Steam and GoG for quite respectable prices. Obviously I recommend GoG for the classics, but the Steam one works the same.
GoG: https://www.gog.com/game/star_wars_dark_forces
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/32400/STAR_WARS__Dark_Forces/
Usually goes on sale fairly often, especially during anything Star Wars related (May 4th etc) if you want to save yourself some cash.

[Additional Information]
Recorded through OBS / Display Capture
60 Frames / 1920x1080 Resolution
Output: MP4 / 60 Frames / 2560x1440 Resolution (Fake 2k)*
Edited in Movavi Video Suite 2020
*Why the higher Resolution? It's really to get Youtube to process it "Better" so it isn't in that godawful AVC codec they use, but in that VP9 one which looks a LOT better.
I know in something like Dark Forces it shouldn't matter but even with a game like this, YouTube's processing can make even the most pixelated game look awful.
