I take a look at the red villain upgrade Commanding Presence. This lets you either remvove an opponent's red die or resolve one of your red dice and increase it's value by two. It is very versitile and can be used in many situations. It can be used to deal extra damage, get extra resources, make an opponent lose more resources and so on.
