Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga Gameplay - Princess Leia Mission 8: Silken Asteroid Field
0Instead of moving forward in the Star Wars timeline, the last mission of this campaign moves backward, even before the first mission of the campaign. This mission is a recreation of a battle that took place shortly after the foundation of the Rebel Alliance as an Armed Resistance, a handful of years after Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. One of the first bases of operations built by the Rebellion was located in the Silken Asteroid Field, which was a well-hidden place in the Star Wars Galaxy at the time. Unfortunately, the Galactic Empire spotted the base and dispatched the officer assigned to administrate that sector, Moff Derliff, to deal with the Rebels. Moff Derliff assembled the Imperial ships in the sector and launched a lightning strike against the Rebel Base, preventing their enemy to call for reinforcements. It was up to General Dodonna to organize the base defenses and drive away the Imperial attackers by destroying their closest outpost.
This mission is reduced to withstanding the first enemy strike. If you manage to destroy all the Fighters and Bombers thrown at you in the beginning of the mission, you have won already. I wanted to fool around with scouting and reseaching to make the video more interesting, but you can just build a bunch of Pummels and a handful of Troopers to hunt down the Imperial Workers, and the result would be the same. The choice is yours.
