Star Wars: Hunters delayed to 2023
0Zynga has delayed the worldwide release of ‘Star Wars: Hunters’ to 2023.
The upcoming free-to-play arena shooter was first announced back in February 2021 for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android and was originally set to be released later that year before the developer delayed its full release to 2022.
Zynga, however, did manage a soft launch of the game in select territories for mobile for fans to test out the title.
Now, in an update posted to Twitter, the developers have announced they have delayed the game’s full release to 2023 “to ensure we meet the high expectations we are setting”.
In a statement, Zynga wrote: “We are working tirelessly to achieve our vision for Star Wars: Hunters. Our ambition is to create a competitive battle arena game that will entertain for years to come. To ensure we meet the high expectation we are setting for fans globally and ourselves as developers we have made the decision to delay the worldwide launch of Star Wars: Hunters.
“We invite all gamers to join us on Vespaara when Star Wars: Hunters launches in 2023 on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. “We understand game delays are frustrating, however, our top priority is ensuring players have the best possible experience in the Arena.”
Zynga went on to thank fans who have been able to participate in the soft launch and provide feedback to make “Star Wars: Hunters the best it can be” and revealed that they will continue to roll out “new content updates regularly in soft launch territories until worldwide launch, with our next update coming up within the next few weeks.”
