In the midst of a war-torn planet, the clash between the Terran Dominion and the mighty Protoss army reached its boiling point. The skies were clouded with smoke, and the ground trembled with the sound of explosions. Amidst the chaos, a ghost named Lieutenant Jonathan Cross was on a crucial mission to turn the tide of battle.

Knowing that the Colossus posed a significant threat to his comrades, Jonathan carefully targeted it with his laser designator. He held his breath, ready to initiate the strike that could potentially turn the tide of the battle. But just as he was about to trigger the laser, fate intervened.
Out of the corner of his eye, Jonathan noticed a flicker of movement. He turned his gaze and saw a second Colossus approaching stealthily, its metallic footsteps blending with the sounds of the battlefield. Panic surged through him as he realized that his position had been compromised.
With uncanny speed, the newly arrived Colossus raised its massive heat beams, narrowing in on Jonathan's location. Sensing the imminent danger, Jonathan uncloaked and sprinted for cover, hoping to escape the towering monstrosity's wrath.
But fate, it seemed, was not on his side. Before he could make it to safety, the Colossus unleashed a devastating beam of energy, tearing through the air and striking Jonathan directly. His body convulsed with unimaginable pain as the searing heat disintegrated his armor and consumed his flesh.
As the life drained from Jonathan's body, he watched helplessly as the Colossus turned its attention back to the battlefield, seemingly unaware of the nuclear threat that had just been averted. His mission had failed, and his sacrifice seemed in vain.
However, as his consciousness began to fade, Jonathan took solace in the fact that his actions had at least diverted the Colossus's attention away from his comrades. His final thoughts were of the hope that his sacrifice would provide the Terran forces with an opportunity to regroup and rally against the overwhelming Protoss onslaught.
Jonathan Cross, the ghost who came so close to designating a nuclear weapon strike, succumbed to the immense power of the Colossus. His spirit may have departed from the mortal realm, but his memory lived on as a testament to the bravery and sacrifice of the Terran soldiers fighting to preserve their way of life.
