This is something that I have been thinking about for a while so I made a short video on it. I've always considered SC1 a better, more enjoyable story. It has better plot, better writing, and better characters, but I asked myself is that all? The answer I came up with was "no, there is more to it than that."

How characters interact with each other is a rather fundamental but overlooked part of storytelling, and after considering it I must say that SC1 does it much better than SC2 does.

I'm not entirely happy with this video, because in retrospect WOL and HOTS do have a decent number of multi-side character conversations. The points still apply because they make up maybe 10% of the conversations in general and they tend to be the best ones in the game, but the games aren't as devoid of that type of conversation as I originally thought.
