I found a melee glitch which can be abused to do an insane amount of damage. This video shows damage that can be done with just basic weapons, I'm sure it can do a lot more damage with upgraded/special weapons. To perform the glitch you have to do the following:

Be in Third-Person mode, it doesn't work in First-Person

Have 2 different types of melee weapons bound to favorites (UC Naval Cutlass and Knife for my example)

To start, press left-click so the first quarter of the weapon's animation

Once you're in the middle of the animation, alternate swapping the 2 melee weapons while spamming left-click, but don't click too fast (I have the mouse inputs in the video for what I found to be the best speed)

Using the same type of weapon, like 2 knives, doesn't work for the glitch because it shares the same animation and it looks like this glitch is mostly animation based. There is also a teleporting bug that happens, but one of my friends says that it could be a bug for the Third-Person perspective in general. Aiming the melee damage is a bit awkward as well, but I just try to keep the reticle over the enemy and it works most of the time.

When you do it correctly it looks like the Naval Cutlass is slowly flailing in your arm and you do a lot of cuts very quickly. Your character may also look over his left shoulder while doing the glitch and it seems like a good sign that it's working.

I wanted to share this to see if anyone could find it useful or improve upon the discovery for speedrunning or anything fun like that.
