ABOUT:
Starflight Alternative Universe is a early 2000s Starflight 1 remake attempt for modern systems. Interestingly SteveSoft, the lead designer behind Starflight AU still used a DOS based engine and planned to remake both Starflight 1 & 2 in his engine. His website is still alive today however sadly the last piece of news was in 2003 so one can only assume it was abandoned like so many other SF fan projects. This is a video of their Navigation demo that allows you to equip your ship in the starbase and explore the surrounding system. No planetary landings, aliens or combat appear to be implemented though.
