After a mission to M44-5YN, a planet undergoing trouble, Rodney McKay begins suffering from the Pegasus Galaxy's equivalent of Alzheimer's disease. In the hope of saving him, the team bring him to Talus, a planet once inhabited by the Ancients, to a "shrine" which overcomes the symptoms of the disease for one day.
