Mel Brooks is a legend. Check out The History of the World Part 1 or the Hitler Rap if haven't seen them before. Almost called this Springtime for Starlight, but that would be false advertising.

I took the S5 premiere as being about cults of personality that prey on those without direction in their lives, not any particular political ideology. I know, communism, right? A Western strawman of communism, maybe. Even a lot of American leftists don't know what communism or socialism is, let alone how they're different, so seeing people try to explain how this episode was pure Karl Marx was funny.
Maybe in the finale there will be a glorious worker's revolution as they seize the means of production, and Ponyville will put Filthy Rich and Fancy Pants up against the wall. I could see Applejack going for that, actually. Imagine toiling in the fields all day and having to stare at the opulence of Canterlot hanging off the side of the mountain.
