This is an old game that is no longer available for purchase and yet surprisingly still runs and seems to still have an active online community. It's a classic "mech sim" where the controls are a bit more akin to flipping switches than the simple "press X or O to go and Mouse1 to fire [weapon] at target automatically" style games we're all used to.

The company Hi-Rez Studios currently owns the entire franchise and did, in fact, release Starsiege as a free download to "celebrate over twenty years of the Tribes universe." The current link is https://www.tribesuniverse.com/ and Starsiege and Starsiege: Tribes are combined into one download.

Expect a lot of silliness and laughing at my own jokes.
