Starting An Awesome & Wholesome Action Metroidvania | Islets - Part 1
1Hello everyone! Here we are starting a new series. This is Islets, a quite cute and wholesome metroidvania, but don't get fooled by the cute looks, there is plenty of combat and tough enemies and some fairly hard platforming stages... but all of this surrounded by cozy music and lovely design.
I played this about 2 months ago, and I decided to start the upload now. I really enjoyed the whole experience, a great metroidvania with great bosses and overall great design. One of my favourite parts of the game, besides the cuteness and how smooth the combat feels, is that the contact damage is there only when necessary; you don't get damage from a lot of them when you touch them, making exploration and combat feel really comfortable and fair.
The developers of this game are making a new one called Crypt Custodian, which is pretty similar, but with cats and top-down, and you can check it out here https://store.steampowered.com/app/23...
