0State of Sound: Stories presented by NC State University Libraries invites individuals and groups to share personal sound stories of how their own creative paths connected them to sound in an effort to highlight unique ways forward for those interested in making sound a bigger part of their lives or careers.
Join us on February 25th, at 4:00PM for a conversation with David Ngo also known as DJ Paradime. DJ Paradime's love for music runs deep. What started off as a hobby using an old pair of belt driven Audiovox turntables has evolved from a passion to a successful career. Today, DJ Paradime is the founder of Cool Receptions LLC, an event company that provides DJ and party services for events at any scale, ranging from weddings to backyard parties. He has also done extensive work with local record label, Dreamville.
In this presentation we will be discussing with DJ Paradime his experience of turning his hobby into a thriving small business, his best DJ stories, what it's like working with Dreamville, and the obstacles navigating an entertainment company during the COVID-19 pandemic.
