You want to upgrade your microSD card on your Steam Deck, but are unsure of the proper way to do it. You don't want to lose any games, emulation installs, etc. and you probably would like to use that old microSD card again with some other device.

We'll show you how to do exactly that; we'll get your new card formatted correctly, get the data moved over and we'll restore your old Steam Deck microSD card into working order for use with Windows, a phone or other devices.

As with any task, there are multiple ways to do this; you could use some other form of intermediate storage (like an external hard drive) but this is probably the easiest way of doing it that ensures your new microSD card is prepared correctly and is ready to go.
