Steam Privacy Changes and the downfall of Steamspy

Steam announced earlier today that they were making some very positive changes in regards to privacy settings for individual users. However, what they somehow managed to forget informing us about is that they are also changing the default settings for game data which has caused Steamspy to announce they are shutting down. This is, I’ll admit, a very mixed bag. Good on one side, horribly anticonsumer action by Valve on the other.
