Rough mixes of the infamously-and-accidentally-deleted Steely Dan song The Second Arrangement belonging to band engineer Roger Nichols were recently unearthed (https://expandingdan.substack.com/p/second-arrangement-steely-dan-roger-nichols-tape). Mixes were found on both tape cassette and digital audio tape (DAT), and though overall quality on the cassette seems crisper, it's missing lead vocals in a few spots, and the outro is prematurely cut off. I tried to restore these and make a "complete" version by filling in the gaps with the DAT tape, as well as matching its speed, removing a couple artifacts and drop-outs and EQing the final product. It's not perfect, but I think it's a pretty listenable version of the song overall!
