Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo are in a better mood and ready to rock on the latest episode of The Mets Pod presented by Tri-State Cadillac, as the Mets got off the mat behind older aces, veteran hitters, and the kids.

SNY’s Steve Gelbs joins the show to talk to Connor and Joe about the team’s turnaround, the contributions of Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty, and Mark Vientos, the pulse and mentality of the clubhouse, and the plan for the catcher position moving forward. Gelbs also shares stories from doing play-by-play in the SNY booth, and his work behind the scenes to make an Aaron Rodgers appearance happen at a Mets game.

Later in the show, Connor and Joe tell the tale of their crazy night in the Cadillac Club at Citi Field, recap weekly predictions, and go Down on the Farm for updates on pitching prospects Mike Vasil and Blade Tidwell. The Mailbag then wraps the show with questions answered about Francisco Alvarez and his minor league options, a possible update of the “Baby Mets” nickname, and whether or not Ronny Mauricio is a future Mets player or a future Mets trade piece.
