In this video I show a good location to find and farm shells in The Witcher 3. The spot shown is as optimal as you can get for farming them and the process is really simple.

Steps Below:
1.Go to Island shown and kill the drowners,
2.Blow up the nest and ONLY take the SHELLS, (very important to only take shells)
3.Stand by the tree as shown to avoid more drowners spawning and meditate for 4 days.
4.Voila new shells have spawned in the nest.
5.Repeat.

To maximise profit from these shells go to Novigrad - Hierarch Square and speak to the armourer during the day, speak to him and go to the tab to dismantle the shells, (make sure to have around 100 crowns or so) this will give you Pearls and Black Peals which sell for 100 each minimum. A video showing this will be linked below just remember the more shells you farm the better the profit.
