49This time while digging for Indie gems I found this 2D Sandbox game with promises of an Age of Empires or Civilization inspired ideas of advancing through various ages of technology, and figured we'd give it a try.

Rise of Ages is a 2D game in sandbox style, you are the leader of a civilization and you need attract more civilians (NPCs) to expand and evolve technologically through the ages you starting in the Stone Age and go untill the Space Age. You will be able to explore the world and acquire items needed for its evolution over time will have to deal with other civilizations democratically or through the war. It provides a perfect environment for the player spend several hours having fun in the game and you can enjoy an incredible and awesome soundtrack.
When the game starts you can choose the appearance of your character and leaves it as you like, each player controls one character and will it guide exploring the entire map through the Ages in the game, each age has its own characteristics and scenery. After the character menu the game starts for real and you have to fight enemies and need to build and protect your civilization.
In the world of Rise of Ages you have the power to manage a city and build your civilization, you are free to invite NPCs and employs them in your city assigning professions to work for you, the professions are the most diverse and may even have guards to protect your city from enemies or wild animal attacks. Character health care is also a very important point, do not forget to drink plenty of water in the desert or wear warm clothing in the Tundra, your character can get sick.
During the game the character can perform various actions, such as fighting, cut trees, mine, grow plants and build among many others. The collection of resources is through tools, axes for timber and pickaxes to collect ores and hoes that are necessary for planting, among others. You can also collect materials from animals, such as leather and meat, for manufacturing various items and keep feeding. You can use equipment for defense and weapons to combat, made with the collected materials. Using the collected resources, you can create buildings and miscellaneous items for your city or any other location on the map.
