In the early days of bitcoin, it was practically useless. While there was a small and passionate community behind it that had high hopes for its future prospects, nobody had really showcased that it could be used in a functional way at least commercially. However, that would change in May of 2010, when a bitcoin miner name Lazlo changed the prospects of crypto forever when he showed the world that bitcoin could actually be used to purchase goods.
