Your character's birthday while dating Klaus. Basically, just walk into your house between 17:00 and 23:00 on your birthday to start the event. I don't think you need to speak to them beforehand.

I know some people have been having trouble triggering characters' birthday events while dating, but I don't think there's been as much trouble with triggering your own birthday? But there's the possibility the event just won't trigger for no apparent reason. So if it's not working, it's probably not because of you doing anything "wrong", it's probably just the game.
