On D-pad. Up: Refined Axe. Right: Speargun (48 speargun arrows, 24 per inventory slot). Down: Bandages (brought 12, used 5). Left: Crude Spears (did not need). Speargun arrows cost one stick and one lashing (4 fibrous leaves) each. 48 speargun arrows require 192 fibrous leaves, but it's worth it. I beat the boss in five minutes or less. Fight Lusca while underneath your raft; fighting from the buoy was a death trap for me.
