I'm not sure if it's just my copy of the game or the Dreamcast itself, but it definitely is not the TV, as this problem is also clearly present as visible on YouTube. As you can tell, all the shadowed areas are virtually pitch-black (they stay black when the luminosity is up), and there seems to be nothing I can do to fix it.
