Stratolaunch have built an amazing carrier aircraft in the form of the Roc, able to carry and air drop payloads of over 200 tons. The plan of course was to use this to launch rockets into orbit, but, agreements with SpaceX and Orbital Sciences ultimately led nowhere.
The announcement on Monday about new launch vehicles was short on details, so I took some measurements and tried to build something that was roughly the right size in Kerbal Space Program to see if I could build a viable launch vehicle.
