From four Canadian minds comes to us Strategy First, a company with an unfortunately short lifespan, and one of that company's greatest hits, Disciples | Sacred Lands. In the sacred lands of Nevendaar, four factions vie for dominance over one another. As we command each faction, our tasks will primarily be carried out by Heroes we recruit who, through might or magic, lead recruited units into battle and across the terrain. If that sounds familiar, that's where those familiarities end. Unlike the series Might and Magic, Disciples focuses on small parties of individuals who gain experience and become much stronger than any army. This includes the leading heroes themselves, gaining more talents and passive bonuses until they are also an army in their own right. A distinctive art style brings a solid "story book" aesthetic to the game, with a mix of incredibly detailed 2d art portraits for units, and an almost claymation style of 3d modeling on the field.

In this casual playthrough, I'll take you through my experiences as a lad. We'll be keeping one hero through the entire campaign of each faction, leveling them up as high as possible, honestly sometimes to the detriment of speed of play. I'll be cutting out the in-betweens of each campaign, where you select one hero and three items to take with you into the next chapter. I'll also be silently raging at the percentage based combat system when it misses an attack I need very badly to land, so if you see the cursor flail, just know there is definitely an "OH COME ON." behind it. Lastly, as with all Straturdays playthroughs, I will be doing things in reality and sometimes lose control of the mouse, or take abnormally long to click through. Do not adjust your set.
