Context: I needed both the Fire Rod and Ice Rod for Go Mode, and it was to the point where I had cleared every pendant dungeon. Unfortunately, I never got the book in this run so I had no idea what item was in the Master Sword Pedestal. So after clearing Desert Palace, I decided to do a blind pedestal pull.

It was the Fire Rod.

That Fire Rod allowed me to clear Skull Woods, which also had the Ice Rod, putting me in Go Mode.

Funnily enough, the Book was actually in that chest in Thieves Town I mentioned early on in the highlight. I skipped it because I didn't have the hammer at that time and you need that to get that particular chest.

This all happened during an SRL race, where I ended up scoring 33rd out of 69 entrants. If my strategies were a little better early on and I made some slightly better routing choices, this could have been an incredible placement. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/slimkirby
