You can Whiff cancel a light attack into a drive rush using the parry command. Macro both medium attacks and certain light normals can be cancelled into drive rush even on whiff. For crouching moves, return the direction to neutral before hitting MP+MK or you will get a crouching medium attack. I use L2 on a PS5 controller as my parry button.
