Street Fighter II takes advantage of the artifact colors on a CRT TV. The original release had some bugs which seems to be fixed here except that the special moves still does not work probably. This version is converted to Beta Disk 128 format, which is a good, because the tape version is absolutely hopeless. Beta disk files can also be used on DivIDE and DivMMC devices (Just convert the scl file to trd with the program SAMdisk).
By pressing CAPS SHIFT when playing you can change the background colors, and the game actually looks quite good in black/white + artifact colors, which have been selected for all the stages in this walkthrough. The only problem with this is, depending on which colors the stages have at the beginning, that you have to cycle through (sometimes a lot) different color setups before you come to black/white, and you can not do it while the game is paused, so activating infinite credits at the start up menu is recommended.
The only stage with black/white colors in the original version was the very last stage with M. Bison, many of the other stages have an odd choice of colors. Street Fighter 1 had as default the opportunity for changing the colors by pressing a key, and this lasted for all stages for the rest of the game - This is how it also should have been made here.
You can also get infinite energy (which is used in this walkthrough) by doing this:
In main menu (cursor must be at Option Mode) type with spaces: CONFECTIONERY COUNTRY OF THE NIN NIN
After the first right CHEAT-symbol typed, the counter is switched on in a right bottom corner of the screen. The counter increases the value on #01 (from #01 to #24 - hex) after each right typed symbol. The counter disappear if symbol wrong and it is necessary to begin all over again. (or you can use poke 33361,0)
The special moves in this version does not work very well, if someone could fix that, and change the colors to black/white as default for all the stages, this could be a quite descent version.
This version has been modified by Softstar in the 90s and it can be downloaded here: https://vtrd.in/gamez/s/S_FIGHT2.ZIP
