A couple people asked for it, so here it is. This is all of the music from the SF2 beta version for Genesis. The retail version is pretty different and scaled back in a lot of ways; I think all of the "low HP" theme variants were cut out altogether. While some aspects of the beta sound poor and unfinished (especially anything using that clap sound effect), some instruments are done very well and some renditions sound especially close to the arcade CPS1 versions. Personally, I think Ken's theme fares best, while Dhalsim's fares worst.

This was recorded out of the headphone jack of an actual Sega Genesis (model 1, revision VA6) via a Mega Everdrive. The Fusion emulator can approximate the sound of this particular hardware pretty well, but only if you activate the audio filter option for it. Otherwise, some of the instrument mixing levels are off.

You can compare some tracks from the other arcade and retail versions here:

Audio hardware:
Sega Genesis: Yamaha YM2612, Zilog Z80
Capcom CPS1: Yamaha YM2151, Oki MSM6295, Zilog Z80

Both the Genesis and CPS1 actually share pretty similar sound hardware. I believe the major difference between them is that the CPS1's Yamaha chip allows for more sound channels than the Genesis. The Genesis SF2 beta has frequent issues with sound effects and voice cutting into the music, and this was likely a reason why the final version's music was somewhat stripped down.
