네크로

스트리트 파이터 3 시리즈에 등장하는 캐릭터. 길의 조직이 만들어낸 일종의 사이보그. 생년월일은 불명으로 키는 174cm이며 몸무게는 60kg이다. 나이는 불명. (샤돌루 격투가 연구소의 네크로 캐릭터 도감 발췌).

수수께끼의 조직이 만들어낸 개조인간의 프로토 타입. 원래는 보통의 인간이었지만, 인체개조 시술을 받아 월등하게 뛰어난 신체 능력을 가지게 되었다. 전신의 근육과 피부가 고무처럼 늘어나고 기형적일 정도로 유연한 관절에, 방전 능력도 가지고 있다. 그러나 조직으로부터의 자유를 갈망하여, 결국에는 연인 에피와 함께 탈주를 감행했다.

본명은 이리야로, 러시아의 가난한 마을 출신이다. 소련 붕괴 이후 자유와 부를 찾아 마을을 나왔을 때 조직에 들어가게 되었다. 한 때는 조직의 일원으로서 양명을 꿈꾸었으나, 거듭되는 인체개조와 실험의 끝에서 자신은 도구일 뿐이라는 것을 깨달았다. 조직을 빠져나가기 위해 길에게 도전했으나 패해, 기지에 봉인되어 폭발할 운명에 처했었다. 다행히 에피의 도움으로 탈출에 성공했지만 조직의 추격자에게 계속 쫓기고 있다. 하지만 네크로의 탈주와 관계 없이 조직은 네크로의 데이터를 바탕으로 개조인간 양산에 성공하였고, '트웰브 등의 완성체들' 까지 만들어내었다. 그래서인지 트웰브와의 대전에서는 인트로와 네크로 패배시 트웰브 여럿이 모여 네크로를 포위하는 듯한 모습을 보이기도 한다.

에피는 네크로를 본명인 이리야로 부른다. 스파 3 세컨드 임팩트와 서드 스트라이크에서는 승리포즈 등에 에피가 등장한다.

변모해버린 자신의 신체에 혐오감을 품고 있었던 듯하지만, 스파 3 서드 스트라이크의 엔딩에서 그 변모한 신체 능력으로 에피를 위기해서 구해낸 후로부터는 자신의 몸을 자랑스럽게 생각한다.

네크로는 사용이 굉장히 까다로운 캐릭터로 꼽힌다. 기본기 운용도 난해하면서 고급 테크닉 같은 경우는 정말 힘든 수준이다. 이 고급 테크닉이 말 그대로 정말 희한한 것들이 많기로도 유명하다. 그래도 스파 3 세컨드 임팩트에서는 구석에서 연속 '토네이도 훅' 같은 쉬운 것들이 많았지만, 서드 스트라이크에서는 대부분 삭제되어 어렵고 힘든 것들만 남거나 추가되었다. 초급자와 상급자 간의 갭이 큰 캐릭터.

스파 3 세컨드 임팩트에서 서드 스트라이크로 가면서 기본기와 특수기가 많이 변경되었다. 방어력과 스턴 게이지의 길이는 적당한 정도. 일단 기본기는 달심을 닮아서 리치가 굉장히 길다. 중거리에서는 중 기본기로, 원거리에서는 강 기본기로 견제할 수 있는데, 아무래도 블로킹과 경직 때문에 강 기본기는 내밀기가 몹시 불안하다.

슈퍼 아츠로는 '초전자 스톰', '슬램 댄스', '일렉트릭 스네이크'가 있다. 보통은 초전자 스톰이 가장 많이 쓰이고 일렉트릭 스네이크가 그 다음으로 많이 쓰인다.

초전자 스톰: 스톡 1개. 연타하면 히트 수와 데미지가 늘어나는 방식이다. 상대를 끌어들이는 효과가 있어서 가까운 거리에서 발동하면 거의 대부분 히트한다. 대공기로도 좋고, 발동이 빨라서 연속기에도 잘 들어간다. 블로킹 가능 공중 콤보로도 자주 쓰인다. 기본적인 데미지가 좋아 필드, 구석 콤보에서 큰 데미지를 뽑을 수 있다. 다만 스톡 수가 1개 뿐이고 길이도 짧아서 EX 필살기의 활용이 어렵다. EX 필살기의 성능이 전체적으로 뛰어난 네크로에게는 더욱 아쉬운 부분.

슬램 댄스: 스톡 1개. 발동 빠른 잡기 계열이다. 데미지는 셋 중에 가장 좋은 네크로의 일격필살기. 다른 잡기 슈퍼 아츠들(알렉스의 '하이퍼 봄'(1번 슈퍼 아츠), 휴고의 '기가스 브레이커'(1번 슈퍼 아츠) 등)보다 커맨드가 훨씬 쉽기 때문에 기본기, 필살기와 시간차로 쓰거나 단독으로 지르는 패턴이 굉장히 쉽다. 강 토네이도 훅 다음에 쓸 수도 있지만 보정을 많이 받는다. 역시 초전자 스톰과 마찬가지로 EX 필살기의 활용이 어렵다. 잘 쓰이지 않는 슈퍼 아츠.

일렉트릭 스네이크: 스톡 2개. 바닥으로 전기를 흘려보낸다. 때문에 하단. 데미지가 낮은 대신 스턴치가 꽤 높은 슈퍼 아츠로, 보통 약 기본기에서 바로 연결하거나 중 토네이도 훅에서 슈퍼캔슬하여 사용한다. 스턴치가 높으니 잘 이용하면 일격필살의 데미지를 줄 수도 있고, 특정 캐릭터 한정으로 두 번 연달아 히트하기도 한다.


Necro

Necro (ネクロ Nekuro?), real name Illia (イリア Iria?), is a video game character from the Street Fighter series, first appearing in Street Fighter III: New Generation. He is a Russian who has the ability to stretch his limbs like rubber and create electrical currents throughout his body, a result caused by genetic experiments inflicted on him by the Secret Society.


Personality

Necro is plucky, optimistic, and ever determined when it comes to his goals; despite his capacity for wise-cracks, however, he is also quite surly and prone to rather dark comments. Despite being on the run from the Secret Society and always pressured when they turn up, Necro still dreams big and has his eyes always on the faintest of hope in the middle of a bleak situation. Even after being transformed into the superpowered mutant he is today, he still enjoys the newfound powers and abilities that come with it, and he hopes to fight with those powers and give the Illuminati a run for their money.


Story

Background

Illia is the third youngest of his two brothers and youngest sister, and left his small and poor village in the North of Russia to seek independence and riches since the fall of the Soviet Union. Near Moscow, Gill and his organization confronted him and promised him a better life. They persuaded Illia to join, but he was tricked and experimented on. He was given a soft body that allows him to stretch beyond normal and the ability to produce electricity from his body, at the cost of leaving him looking like a mutant. A cybernetic computer was implanted into his brain that enhanced his fighting abilities as well. Illia began taking on special missions for the organization under the name "Necro". At some point after his capture, Necro met Effie, who was also captured by the organization. They became fast friends, and soon lovers.


Fighting style

Necro's fighting style involves grappling his opponents with his unpredictable and flexible rubber limbs, and using the electrical current generated in his body to shock them. His combat style has no real origin or connection to other styles, implying that Necro taught himself how to fight. The cybernetic computer in his brain helps give him superhuman fighting abilities.

Necro's abilities seem to be inspired by Dhalsim and Blanka, and while he can stretch his limbs similarly to the former and generate electricity similarly to the latter, his play style is completely different in comparison to them. Like his personality, Necro's fighting style is somewhat unusual, being able to fight mid and close range battles. Unlike Dhalsim, who is usually seen using long-range and can be considered a defensive character, Necro is more combo-reliant, close-ranged, and offensive. As for Blanka, Necro only has three moves, two of which are Super Arts, which allow him to generate electricity.
