Street Fury - Some Random Episode
50For reasons inexplicable to me, I had a full episode of Street Fury recorded on VHS. And after mention of the show came up in a random post at a certain G4-themed Facebook group, I figured why not pull it out of the archives and repopulate it back into the world, like those whales in Star Trek IV...?
What is 'Street Fury,' you ask? Well, it was a short-lived series hosted by Carlton "Big C" Lewis and featured cars, as well as the three "Bs" of automotive television shows: Boobs, Butts and Bikinis.
The series aired on G4 from 2005-2006 as part of "The Whip Set," an hour-long car/racing block brought to the world in association with Tokyo Pop and arrived in an era after the dissolution of G4TechTV and return of the original G4TV moniker, when the network began refocusing their content on more edgy, adult-oriented male content along with reruns of the single-season "Fastlane" TV series. Unlike its "Whip Set" companion series, 'Formula D,' which went on to live a second life on other networks, 'Street Fury' did not last particularly long.
