For those who may not remember it (which is somewhere around 8 billion of you), G4 hosted three live webcams on location the night that the Gphoria 2005 awards were being filmed.

Sure, they were low-res and took something like 10-15 seconds for each frame to refresh but it was a way for transient awards show attendees to interact with G4's fans who had huddled into an internet chatroom with the anticipation of spotting their favorite (or not so favorite) hosts and celebrities.

And sure enough, while a number of G4 alumni would grace the screens every now and again, most of the excitement in the chatroom revolved around two attractive young ladies who, apparently, had their most enjoyment that night interacting with lonely teenage boys via a $10 keyboard over the span of around 25 minutes. Humorously, when Kevin Pereira inadvertently booted them from the webcam they were on, they sought out the next closest webcam and continued on. (They also returned at the end of the night to check in on everyone).

Not only that, but a few more ladies would join later as the night progressed and felt the need to routinely flash their breasts and make out on screen. It seems if you get a room with teenage and 20-something boys and enough of them keep requesting that every women who appears should take their top off, eventually one or two are going to do just that. I think it is that whole "monkey at a typewriter" theorem in full effect. Also, it probably doesn't hurt the chances if, apparently, there are a number of porn stars in attendance.

Needless to say, in a humorous anecdote, Scot Rubin (who had left the network the year before) had appeared for a while and was chatting with viewers. I mentioned to him that a few women had flashed their breasts on screen earlier and that no one had asked any men to do the same, so I requested that he do so. And sure enough, Scot was a good sport and did!

Anyway... G4 did a time lapse compilation of the video and uploaded it to their website as a 750K Flash video around the time the awards finally aired. Did they edit out potential nudity? -- Let's say, a few frames managed to make it in. 👀 This was also during the era when 'The Man Show' and 'Street Fury' were becoming their top priorities.

So... here is that webcam video, resized from the original 320x240 or so dimensions that it was originally uploaded as.
