StreetPass Mii Plaza - StreetPass Map - My Map Collection (Updated)
21I think it is safe enough to say I have marked down every single region to complete StreetPass Maps 100%. The reason it was updated compared to my now outdated video was to collect all the regions that couldn't start StreetPass Mii Plaza. This video now shows the complete collection.
StreetPass Maps is a StreetPass feature where you fill up your map collection by StreetPassing players with their system settings set to any country and residence they have available on their 3DS. The more people you meet from different regions, the more you add these regions to your maps.
StreetPass Maps is available if you set your country to the following in System Settings...
Japan
Canada
United States
Australia
France
Germany
Italy
Netherlands
Spain
United Kingdom
Basically, if your country has a map, then you have access to StreetPass Maps. If your country doesn't have a map, then you don't have access to StreetPass Maps. This is based on what your country is set to in your 3DS System Settings. This feature is not available to anyone who has a 3DS from Korea, Taiwan, or anyone with an iQue 3DS XL.
The total list of countries to collect is 122. The total list of regions to collect are 1,471. This may not be the correct number, but I tried to be thorough with the count and final checked everything to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'll update the number if I missed or miscounted anything here.
Some countries here in the video are really difficult to get, especially some regions from a EUR 3DS, because most of those countries are met with a message of "This service is not available in your region." meaning that you cannot play StreetPass Mii Plaza until you change the region in your 3DS system settings. These countries listed above are the ones that can't play StreetPass Mii Plaza. They are still able to be collected, but it's only possible for modded 3DS users to make those region changes. Non modded 3DS users can still collect these maps, but it will be very hard to find a StreetPass encounter like that.
