Streets of Rage 2 - 1994 - Stop The Crime Syndicate - Master System | Shortplay
Streets of Rage 2, known in Japan as Bare Knuckle II, is a Sega Mega Drive side-scrolling beat-'em-up game developed by Ancient and published by Sega. A sequel to the popular Streets of Rage, it was first released in the United States in December 1992 to widespread commercial success and critical acclaim, and has since developed a reputation as one of the finest examples of the beat-'em-up genre. It's phenomenal popularity saw it ported to a number of different platforms - such as contemporary Master System and Game Gear version.
The Master System and Game Gear 8-bit versions of Streets of Rage 2 are quite different from the Mega Drive original, and to each other, similar to the Master System/Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog. In addition to having different levels and the inferior graphics, Max Thunder is omitted from both. The Game Gear version does not show enemy names.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (screen ratio, not the internal resolution). I also use a shader that simulates a CRT Monitor with a S-Video filter signal, and over it i created a a 3d image of a game room with a TV from the 80s, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
