Streets of Rogue (SoR) is a genuinely flawless co-op friendly roguelite game that deserves your support. Disclaimer: I am friends with Matt Dabrowski but I promise you that does not sway my opinion whatsoever, I just think the game is honestly amazing.

You will play as one of many classes, all of which revolve around a profession or hobby or lifestyle, and begin in the Slums with little to nothing. You will work your way up through society until you eventually reach Mayor Village, where your objective is to usurp power from him via hostility or through election. You will have various ways of completing assigned tasks before you can progress to the next floor, and you can choose how passive or aggressive you wish to be. You must survive lowly pickpockets to Blaed & Crepe gang members, the mob, and supercops.

Streets of Rogue is so much fun because of the surprising amount of choice you have over how things go. You can make the game as easy or hard for yourself depending on play styles, decisions, and routes. It's also a great game to play with a friend and like most roguelites will be significantly more doable with a partner since you can revive each other instead of just instant permadeath. The art style isn't really my thing but the combat and mechanics make up for that and it does have a nice color palette with plenty of varying locations and map designs.

The classes are all distinguished from each other and play extremely differently. The fact the game has so many endings adds to the already great replay ability. There is a huge selection of items and tools to keep things interesting. The game also features intelligent NPCs with factions that have various degrees of reputation and status with each other, making things more advanced than necessary which is a good thing.

SoR is personally my favorite roguelite I've played, but I'm not super big on this genre so feel free to point me to some others if you think they are better. I look forward to playing the sequel to this gem!
