On recently buying Strife: Veteran Edition (highly recommended, even if only as a historical FPS/RPG hybrid curiosity to see how the genre started), I was amazed at two things:

1) Just how much better the game seems to be compared to my memories of said game.

2) How pathetic the Entity is as a final boss.

Now point 1 can easily be addressed by a few new features and some fixes introduced by this re-release (don't panic, purists -- these are entirely optional!), but point 2... THIS is what I mean by 'damp sock', as in it seems to be about as much of a threat as one. Was he always this useless at putting up a fight?

I don't know, maybe I'm just that much better at NOT wasting ammo and items in a game where supplies aren't exactly found in abundance all over the place.

Anyway, because I'm such a great hero, I flatten the flying flabby bastard and his triplet offspring without so much as blinking, and manage to free X-Men's Rogue somehow. Well alright, it's Blackbird really. Shut the hell up, someone was going to say it.
