The idea began when I was working with a new string VST and I found that with a certain preset, placing two notes on the same note would result in one being soft and one being forceful, resulting in the rhythm at the very beginning. After that, I was just off on a magical journey producing whatever I wanted to do at the time. The piece ended up being very neat for what it was, if a bit short. The tempo is at 160 I believe and producing the way I produce it is torturous to do at high tempos. I tend to stray away from copying and pasting sections, after all. So creating new material that I worked on for hours would result in 10 seconds being added to the song, which can get very demoralizing. I'll be sticking to low BPMs more often I believe, the workflow is more my style.
