Su-35 RC Jet Flights at Scale Model Event ✈️ Freewing, Twin 70mm EDF
25I made these flights with my Freewing twin 70mm Su-35 EDF jet for a scale model event about a year ago... ❤️
Not my best flights ever but I was pushing the jet pretty hard and it was a very windy day. The 'Frolov Chakras' (backflip inside a backflip) came out really neat though, but I also totally messed up a landing. Anyway, I just straightened the strut axles and kept flying... this is the way! :D

Regarding my SU-35 setup:
This is a fairly modded Freewing SU-35S. It includes a gyro for the TV nozzles to help perform extreme hover and high alpha maneuvers (Stabilizing functions are only turned on for particular maneuvers).
As for the jet itself, the SU-35S is well known for its supermaneuverability features, that are a result of a good aerodynamic design coupled with the use of thrust vectoring nozzles.
The pilot displays a few post-stall maneuvers using the TV nozzles that would be otherwise impossible to perform with a normal jet aircraft.

ESCs: 2x Hobbywing Platinum Pro 80A
Servos: Freewing, metal gear (Stock ones)
Servos for tailerons and TV yaw: Turnigy TGY-306G (Discontinued)
Receiver: FrSky X8R working in D16 mode with telemetry.
External BEC: Turnigy (Hobbywing) 8-15A UBEC
Gyro: Eagle Tree Guardian 2D/3D (for the thrust vectoring nozzles)
