Generally, when Western developers try to make a JRPG, the result ends up being either completely mediocre or an utter abomination.
But Sudeki is a pleasant exception to the rule.
Yes, the characters are clearly underdeveloped and the character faces, while "anime-like", take some time to get use to.
On the other hand, the gameplay is pretty fun, and the idea of changing between the slasher mode and the shooter mode during combat is fresh and interesting. Though, to be honest, I ended up always controlling the ranged characters during combat, because the AI is pretty weak, and controlling the support characters directly is the only way to survive without constantly changing between characters.
The game runs very well on Proton. No tweaks necessary,
