Normal two-color Japanese sums rules apply. Colors used in this puzzle are black and grey.
The squares outside the grid indicate the order of runs of contiguous cells found in that row or column that must be shaded the color of the clue. The number in the clue, if given, indicates the sum of the cells in the run. If the square is blank, the sum for the run is unknown. There must be an unshaded cell between runs of the same color, though there is no need between runs of differing colors. All runs are given.

--XV Lines: Along XV lines, the two cells that are equidistant from the center of the line contain digits that sum to 5 or 10. If a line has an odd number of cells, the middle cell has no restrictions. The two 21 cell lines (a turquoise and a taupe) have varying colors to easier discern the direction of travel.
--XV and Modified VX: A) An X sums adjacent cells to 10 and/or multiplies the two cells together from left to right or top to bottom. The product immediately follows. Leading 0 is not permitted. B) A V sums adjacent cells to 5 and/or is an inequality in the direction of the arrow. C) All X's have been given. All V sum to 5 have been given. Not all inequalities are given. For an addded challenge, the puzzle is solvable without the negative constraint.

Normal sudoku rules apply. Numbers outside the grid are sandwich clues which give the sum of the digits placed between the ‘1' and ‘9' in the corresponding row or column. Note that sandwich clues can appear above, below, left, or right of the grid.
Bent arrows are slingshot clues. The number in the cell adjacent to the tail end of the arrow must also appear at a distance of X cells in the direction of the arrow, where X is the number in the arrow's cell. Numbers inside the grid can be slung outside and vice versa.
